Health cover built for life abroad
Expat health insurance is annual international medical cover for people who live or work outside their home country. Unlike travel insurance, it is built for ongoing care: hospital treatment, specialist visits, prescriptions and emergency evacuation, with options such as maternity, dental, vision and mental health. You choose where you are covered, whether worldwide, worldwide excluding the USA or a single region, and the policy renews each year.
Elev8 Insurance is an independent broker, not an insurer. We compare suitable plans across several international insurers, explain the limits and exclusions that matter for your household, and stay your contact for claims and renewals.

Before you get a quote
How much does expat health insurance cost?
The price depends on your age, where you live, your area of cover, your deductible and the benefits you add. Including the USA usually costs more. The quickest way to see a real price is a free quote for your household. For published price examples, see our 2026 expat health insurance cost guide.
Which insurers can you quote?
We compare plans from international insurers including Cigna Healthcare, APRIL International, Now Health International, Pacific Cross and Best Doctors Insurance. The plans available to you depend on your country of residence, nationality and age.
Can I cover my whole family on one policy?
Yes. Most international plans let you add a partner and children to one policy. Maternity and newborn cover depend on the plan and usually have a waiting period, so tell us if you are planning to grow your family. See family health insurance for expats.
Is the quote really free?
Yes. Requesting a quote and booking a 30-minute consultation are both free, and there is no obligation to buy.
Where do you arrange cover?
We handle enquiries from expats in the countries listed here. Eligibility depends on the insurer and your country of residence.
I already have a policy. Can you help?
Yes. We can review your current cover before renewal, compare it with alternatives and explain what would change if you switch. Start with a policy review.
